Pressure Washing
Frequently Asked Questions - Pressure Washing
Q: How much does pressure washing cost?
A: Typically pressure washing is quoted by the job, which is based on square footage, house material, and a variety of other factors. However, if there is small area that needs washed or if you are combining pressure washing with another service, discounted rates are available.
*Quotes can often be completed with a home address and picture messages, but occasionally an on-site visit is required.
Q: How can I prepare my home for cleaning?
A: Please be sure all windows and doors are closed before arrival. Check the home for preexisting damage and remove patio furniture, flags, umbrellas, or fabric near the house. Make arrangements that allow for keeping people and pets out of the work-zone and cleaning areas.
Q: What chemicals are used?
A: Typically Sodium Hypochlorite is diluted with water and a Surfactant is added (Currently "Simple Cherry" or "eLemonator", which are designed for safe and effective house washing).
Q: Will the pressure damage my house or siding?
A: I use low pressure "soft washing" systems and a chemical injector to "Downstream" cleaner onto the house; therefore, damage from pressure is not an issue. Occasionally, higher pressure is used, and necessary, for concrete and difficult surfaces.
Q. Will the chemicals damage plants?
A: Plants near the house are heavily soaked with water before and after any washing takes place. It is very rare that plants are damaged during the home washing process.
Q: Do you supply your own water?
A: Typically a hose bib should be available to connect to, which fills a "buffer tank" located on the trailer.
Q: Do you offer roof washing?
A: No, not at this time.
Q: Do you repaint or re-stain materials after washing?
A: Yes, I do offer this service at an additional cost.
Q. Does damage occur during pressure washing?
A: Occasionally damage does occur as a result of pressure washing. Minor damage will be my responsibly to repair without charge and major damage, although rare, will be reported to insurance.
